Class registrations will be accepted until the class has reached capacity.
Refund Policy
The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago strives to offer high quality programs. While it is our desire that all participants have a positive experience, we understand situations may arise that may require an individual to withdraw from a class and request a refund or credit. Refunds and credits may be provided pursuant to the following guidelines and are subject to a Director’s approval:
- A full refund or credit will be issued to the participant who has registered for a class or program that was cancelled by the YMCA due to low enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances.
- An individual requesting a credit or refund prior to the first day of the class or program will be issued a refund or credit for the amount that he or she paid minus a processing fee ($5.00).
- An individual requesting a credit or refund prior to the second meeting of the class or program will be issued a credit or refund for the amount he or she paid minus the prorated portion for the remainder of the program session and a processing fee ($5.00). There will be no refunds given after the second week unless medical documentation from a doctor is provided. No exceptions!
Class Cancellations
We will cancel a class when there are less than six to eight (depending on the class) participants enrolled in the program. The YMCA staff will make every effort to promote and implement all classes offered. If we are unsuccessful in meeting our minimum enrollment, you will be given at least 24 hours notice that your class is cancelled, and be given the option to join another class or receive a refund or credit.
